We report on a home-built high power chirped-pulse amplification (CPA) Yb-based laser system, which can deliver pulse energy of up to 1.5mJ with the output of 20W and a pulse duration of ~250 fs. This laser is first seeded by a femtosecond fiber oscillator and then further amplified by one Yb:KGW regenerative amplifier and one Yb:YAG boost amplifier. Our laser is very suitable for applications of micro-machining and bright high-order harmonic EUV generation.
