Nuclear excitation pumped by an X-ray Free Electron Laser (XFEL) pulse in an X-ray waveguide is theoretically investigated. Dielectric-cladding X-ray waveguide is a powerful tool for producing cavity mode generating nuclear excitation. This feature renders the significant variance of coupling between nuclei and X-ray, including focusing hard X-ray for nuclei population inversion and uniformed pumping nuclei for observation of collective lamb shift. We numerically solve 3-dimensional optical Bloch equation describing the interaction between two-level nuclei and a propagating XFEL pulse in a waveguide. In this talk we will discuss about the possibility of production of nuclear population inversion and the observation of collective Lamb shift.
