Comparison of the Performance of a Passive Q-switched Diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 Laser with Different Reflectance of Output Mirrors

Different reflectance of output mirror would chang the energy stored in the resonator and affect the output properties. In this works, we compared the reflectance of 70%, 90%, and 98% three output couplers and their characteristic. The results show that the maximum laser output with peak power of 360W and pulse width of 11ns achieve, where the output mirror with the reflectance of 70%.
