Recent development of quantum technology in Taiwan

In this talk, I will overview recent development of quantum technology in Taiwan. In particular, I will focus on the development at Center for Quantum Technology (CQT) established at NTHU since 2018. Four subjects focused in CQT will be presented. The development of chips containing multi-superconducting qubits and the relevant simulation done using these chips will be presented and discussed in details. In addition, I will also present effort towards establishing long-distance quantum communication including development of high purified single-photon source, highly-efficient quantum memory, and high-fidelity quantum frequency Converters. Finally, I will present results of the first Taiwan outdoor quantum communication performed between NTHU and NCTU in the summer of 2019.
